APQS Northwest opened in Issaquah, WA in 2015 but the story started years before that:

 

Owner Barb Mayfield bought her first APQS longarm in 2007 and started quilting for customers within a few months.

"A year later, I became an APQS Representative and started “sharing my addiction” with potential owners. After traveling to Quilt Shows across the Pacific Northwest as a vendor, I settled into the greater Seattle area and opened a brick and mortar store. Quilters now travel to my shop
to test drive the machines, rent the machines to finish their own quilts, to learn new techniques, or just to visit!"
